Punkt // Performing a live remix of Maria W Horn

Punkt is an internationally renowned festival started in 2005, curated by Jan Bang and Erik Honoré. In addition to the annual main festival in Kristiansand, Punkt has visited 27 cities in Europe, Canada, China and India with its unique Live Remix concept: All concerts are immediately deconstructed/reconstructed by electronic musicians, often in collaboration with traditional instrumentalists. This electronics-based creativity, unfolding there and then, is a central feature of the festival concept. Among the international participants and guest curators through the years are Brian Eno, Laurie Anderson, David Sylvian, Jon Hassell and John Paul Jones.

At Northern Winter Beat, Punkt will perform as a quartet consisting of Jan Bang, Erik Honoré and renowned Norwegian musicians Eivind Aarset and Arve Henriksen with a live remix of Maria W Horns concert in Budolfi Church as the opening of the 2023 edition of the festival.
