SNAPPED ANKLES [UK]

Normally, we wouldn’t book the same act two years in a row. But Snapped Ankles’ set at NWB 2025 was sadly overshadowed by a string of mishaps — first, their drummer had to cancel last-minute due to sudden illness, and then, just a few bars into the first song, their trusty drum machine gave up too.
This time, we’re giving them the full do-over they deserve..

Snapped Ankles return with Forest Of Your Problems, a raw exploration of modern life’s tangled challenges. Trading ancient woodland mystique for a sterile, controlled landscape, their music mixes primal forest rhythms with sharp post-punk energy. The album captures the tension between nature and progress, wrapped in driving beats that make it impossible not to move. Dive into their hypnotic soundscape where the pulse of the forest meets contemporary chaos.

JIM GHEDI [UK]

On Wasteland, Jim Ghedi pushes folk music into bold new territory. The album explores themes of loss, decay, and mental health with intense, brooding soundscapes. Featuring electric guitars, big drums, and soaring strings, it marks a powerful evolution in Ghedi’s music. Recorded over two years in Sheffield, Wasteland blends personal reflection with broader societal concerns. Despite its darkness, the album also offers moments of hope and catharsis, revealing Ghedi’s search for meaning and home.

DEN DER HALE [SE]

Den Der Hale is a Swedish band thriving at the crossroads of post-rock, krautrock, and dark psychedelia. Their music weaves layered textures and hypnotic rhythms into expansive soundscapes, drawing listeners into cinematic journeys filled with tension and release. Drawing inspiration from Can, Neu!, Swans, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, their sound shifts between meditative passages and powerful crescendos. Their live performances are intense and captivating, translating studio precision into a trance-like energy. With an experimental approach, they combine driving rhythms, heavy effects, and rich sonic layers into a cohesive and dynamic experience.

HEDVIG MOLLESTAD TRIO [NO]

Thunderous riffs, jazz virtuosity and raw energy — Hedvig Mollestad Trio balance somewhere between Black Sabbath and John Coltrane, with a sound too wild for genre labels. Formed after Mollestad was named “Young Jazz Talent of the Year” at Moldejazz, the trio has since built a fierce international following with explosive live shows and critically acclaimed albums on Rune Grammofon. Their new record drops in 2025 — and it’s bound to be another heavy, heady trip.

Known for his mind-bending synth work as a part of  The Comet Is Coming and Soccer96, Danalogue crafts cosmic soundscapes designed for sonic teleportation. As a producer and collaborator, he’s lent his signature touch to Snapped Ankles, Ibibio Sound Machine, Rozi Plain, and more—always pushing the boundaries of rhythm, texture, and energy. Expect a live set that’s immersive, unpredictable, and deeply rooted in electronic experimentation with an unmistakably psychedelic edge.

MARIA W HORN & SARA PARKMAN PRESENT FUNERAL FOLK [SE]

Funeral Folk is a powerful collaboration between spectral composer Maria W Horn and folk musician Sara Parkman. Rooted in their shared upbringing in Ångermanland, Sweden, the project explores grief rituals and the sonic landscape of death—melding sacred music, Karelian lament traditions, Swedish folk, black metal, and spectral minimalism. With instrumentation ranging from synths, zithers, hurdy gurdy, and mellotron to voice and cowbells, the duo weaves deeply emotional and atmospheric compositions that resonate across time and tradition. A haunting and transcendent live experience.

ELORI SAXL [UK]

Elori Saxl blurs the lines between ambient electronics, chamber music, and field recordings to create richly textured soundscapes rooted in memory, environment, and transformation. With critically acclaimed releases on Western Vinyl and collaborations with choreographers, filmmakers, and ensembles, her work evokes both emotional intimacy and vast, elemental landscapes. Whether layering analog synths with water and wind recordings or scoring documentaries on climate and place, Saxl invites listeners into a sonic world where nature and technology merge in slow, shifting beauty. A deeply immersive live experience awaits.

MATS ERLANDSSON + YAIR ELAZAR GLOTMAN [SE/DE]

Mats Erlandsson & Yair Elazar Glotman are a collaborative duo blending contemporary classical music with experimental electronic sounds. Glotman, a Berlin-based composer and sound artist, and Erlandsson, a Swedish composer rooted in electronic and acoustic traditions, create immersive soundscapes. Their work combines electroacoustic textures, drones, and orchestral elements. Known for crafting atmospheric compositions, their music explores rich and layered sound worlds.

MOTORPSYCHO [NO]

After having to cancel their show in 2025 due to a broken leg, we’re beyond excited to finally welcome Norwegian rock legends Motorpsycho back to the lineup.

Motorpsycho are a prolific band from Norway. Since the late 80s they have eluded classification while blending progressive/psychedelic, stoner, metal, jazz and indie influences into a sound all their own. This constant evolution has been documented through countless ambitious albums and EPs for nearly three decades. Their output is legendary and their need for experimentation has made them stand out as a rare creature.
