While one foot is firmly placed in the midst of the ever-growing punk movement of Norway (and everywhere else for that matter) the other is kicking down doors to noise rock, drone and experimental.
Norwegian Daufødt took a left now turn upon their initial release of the rock inspired album “1000 Island” (2020), which granted them a Norwegian Grammy. Their second album Aromaterapi (2022) had a harsher and rougher sound. The collaboration with noise wizard Lasse Marhaug, not only brought exactly that, but also elements of chaos. This collective work also gave light to the deconstructed noise tape Eksponeringsterapi (2023).
The releases were followed by extensive club touring of native Scandinavia, passing along the way some of the most legendary festivals, this cold, windswept area of the world has to offer, namely Roskilde Festival and Øyafestivalen.
With their new album Glitter (2024) Daufødt has evolved even further. “Glitter” is an in(tense!) myriad of noise, punk and drone; its fast and raw, heavy and direct - the result is the musical equivalent of frost shattering gneiss.
We look forward to welcome some of the most intense music our sister country has to offer and they, likewise, look forward to take their high intensity live show to Aalborg once again, this time at Northern Winter Beat.
