Gardeurs

Born from the meeting of Kate Fletcher and Aymeric Hainaux, Gardeurs feels like a band from the past, but also from the future. For years, the duo dove headfirst into the depths of a completely free form of music, with dense soundscapes where few elements are needed. Their sound was all about weight—heavy rhythms, dub ghosts, and textures torn to shreds. Then, in 2024, hip-hop artist Khaled Bouhrizi joined them. His arrival brought a breath of fresh air, turning the band into something closer to a piece of raw art installation. Gardeurs began tracing the outlines of an industrial rap that craves dance—beats always heavier and screechy, languages colliding (French, Tunisian Arabic, English, Italian), and a sense of joy wrapped in walls of noise.

Kate Fletcher (AKA Orlando) brings a voice that cuts through like light through fog—part diva, part beatmaker. She sings, triggers machines, and bends air with a shruti box. She grew up in the UK listening to The Prodigy in McDonald’s parking lots, and now performs her art across European stages and the best underground cellars. With Gardeurs, her writing and rhythm take on a mountain-born roughness.

Khaled Bouhrizi (MR KAZ), a veteran of Tunisia’s underground rap scene, writes with a scalpel. Twenty years deep, his flow is dry, percussive, and cinematic—full of clenched fists and long roads.

Aymeric Hainaux (half of Cantenac Dagar, half of Mirlitons) channels everything in the body, through the body, and for the body. . His setup is radically simple: a mouth, a cassette player, a mic, and his bells (part of his identity). Through screams, cracks, and fractured beatbox, he shapes the trio’s heartbeat—somewhere between ritual and wreckage.

Together, the three form a volatile chemistry : voices that argue, intertwine, and lift each other. Gardeurs are calling for you with and around them
